Yukata and you

I still remember the first time I wore that yukata. Yokohama yukata, as I called it. The Yukata represents one of the most beautiful dreams coming true to life. I saw the patterns in Yokohama Monogatari and been wanting to have one. And in the summer 2009, I got it.

I dressed up beautifully for the night. Wore the dream yukata, for my first ever Gion Matsuri. Kyoto's biggest and oldest festival. On the wake of that, I only remember that I dress up for you. It was our day, our date. I had been wanting to see you since your graduation. I had been missing you so much and when you said yes to come with me for Gion Matsuri, I felt so happy.

I recalled that night as a blissful night. With you by my side, nothing seems wrong. You came with me for fish catching, stroll around Gion Matsuri and ate banana chocolate with me. Only later when Ayana confronted me on my feeling for you, I realized just how many time I called your name that night. I think I did really miss you. Miss your smile and miss your eyes..

So when I wore the yukata again last night, I felt empty inside. I am lonely without you. I can't help myself from wandering to the time of us. Will the yukata bring me back to you?

SHINee @ SMTown in Jakarta: IMO

Late bloomer strikes again!

This time is SMTown World Tour III in Jakarta. Held for the first time in Jakarta, a total of 7 artists and groups under SM Entertainment entertained almost 30.000 fans with their biggest hits. Having called my self an avid Shawol, to see SHINee live in action is a must. The last I saw them was in Bangkok when they performed in 2012 Korean Music Wave in Bangkok. Since I was there for a workshop, to see them alive is sooo good! 

Fast forward six months, I got another go at seeing them for SMTown. This concert should be special since all SM artists will be there including my second bias, Super Junior. If you asked me if I liked it or not? My answer will be YES!! but not more than SHINee World Concert.

All SM artists performed their biggest hits combined with some mashups. The most memorable performance will go to Taemin-Jonghyun's Internet War. That was HOT!! I mean.. seeing it in real is soooo different. Taemin is no longer a baby! The other one is Super Junior's Superman and SHINee's lucifer and sherlock. I kinna like SNSD's taxi too. 

I like SHINee's lucifer because they mashed the song with electronic dance which caught my attention when I saw the first time in LA. But somehow, it was not as fun. I don't know.. some fanchant or maybe missing Minho. When they said jump jump, we barely able to do it. The best would go to Sherlock since fans shouted "I am so curious" each time the part was sang. But else, I felt something is missing from their performance. Their robotic-turn-rock Ring Ding Dong simply didn't work despite they sang it live. They missed some parts which clearly bothers me. I don't know if they did it deliberately or not.  Yet, I have to admit that their clear voice during clearly-live performance proven how SHINee has one of the best vocals of the night. But again, singing Ring Ding Dong live in rock mode didn't work. They better shed that off or... I don't know. At least, their "Love like oxygen" and "Juliette" mashup are acceptable. Their water-shed performance was good! 

Ah, and tonight they sang a happy bday song for Key. Our very own Kim Kibum celebrates his birthday today, 23 September. Happy Birthday, Key! keep rockiiinggg!! But to be honest, Key spoke English ackwardly since his members were speechless during the introduction part. They looked like guys who never performed live and know nothing about interaction with audience. Their introduction was plain and short. Compared to Super Junior who clearly made an effort to speak Indonesian, SHINee left no impression. Its either they barely got any time or just like what lot of people say, they lack of stage charisma. But again, claim that they lack in stage charisma is not entirely true. Their solo concert is always enjoyable and fun. I even plan to go for another one in December. But they really need to present themselves like Suju who always great in interacting with fans. Grow up boys! I know you can do it.. Hello Baby tells us that your chatty and witty character is what mesmerize us the most. 

And tonight, Taemin stole the spotlight. He was everywhere! Only Eunhyuk in comparison. He even went to dance with BoA. Noona clearly choose him every time he is around. hehehehehe... well, who doesn't! hahahaahahaha... 

All in all, it was a great night. Seeing SHINee in performances that was made clearly for SMTown. All those mashup was never included in their Arena Tour nor SWC. I clearly enjoyed although I prefer the original version. One more thing, I wish they sang "replay". I want to go to bed having them telling me I am beautiful. hehehehe...

Last but not least, I said goodnight to the boys with Taemin appearing on stage during closing and smile like an angel

Presents from Korea

Yerim, my very own best friend wrote me this before she went back home to Korea: 

She posted it on my wall in the office, saying that she will buy two tickets for both of us should I come to Korea. To meet up with her of course and to see SHINee concert. She even promised to get me the VIP seat nearest to the stage to see the boys in action a lot closer that I ever been. What can I ask for more?

Sadly, it has been nearly half a year since she left Indonesia. We keep our contact through iMessage or FaceTime.  Somehow, I still miss her. Then, this present arrived in my desk this morning. Apparently, one of my friend who just met her in Korea gave me this. They simply know just how much I love SHINee and Super Junior. Yerima keep her promise and remember what we used to talk and bicker about although we are far away. See ya soon, girl! 

And Boba thank you for the present. Love it to bits!

Second (this year) with SHINee

I am all giddy and exited about tomorrow! 

SHINee boys will come onboard in Jakartaaaaa...

for SM Town!

Tomorrow will be our second meeting of the year. It would be a perfect time before our grand meeting at the end of year for their solo concert in Singapore. SHINee World Concert 2 which features some of my all time faves like "The name I love", "Start" and of course "A-Yo". I wish they put "honesty" to the song list but I guess I have to wait until SWC3 to hear that song from them.

You know what made me so exited? Attending their concert and seeing them in person actually beyond my craziest dream! not yet the wildest but certainly some of the craziest. Never before I expected this to happen. To be in their concert, not only once but three times in one year. To meet in the airport, to see them up close but not yet personal. Maybe that could be my wildest. To meet them personally.

All in all, my meeting with them made me believe that dream takes us far, sometime even farther than what we expected to. Being born and raised in a family that know nothing about spending money for concert and fangirling, I never imagined that I would have the ability and opportunity to attend one. More so, to be in a concert of the same artist for more than once. But God is Gracious, God allow me to dream and to have a job that allows to travel far. That allows me to spend on concerts as well. A dream job that allows me to fulfill my other dreams. So, I will not afraid of dreaming. Even when the dream looks unrealistic and no sense at all. Believe in our dream, you never know where life takes you..

Test Pack: You are my baby

"Saling melengkapi". Itu kata kunci dari film Test Pack: You are my baby. 

Berkisah tentang pasangan suami istri Rahmat dan Tata yang tidak kunjung dikaruniai anak di usia pernikahan mereka yang ketujuh. Berbagai cara sudah mereka tempuh, termasuk cara2 lucu yang kadang mengundang tawa seluruh isi bioskop. Salah satunya berkunjung ke dokter bernama Peni S. - yang oleh Rahmat coba dibaca tanpa tanda titik. HA! Masalah makin runyam dengan adanya campur tangan orang tua. Campur tangan yang dimaksud tidak lain dan tidak bukan adalah desakan untuk segera menimang cucu. Segala pertanyaan diajukan yang tidak akan berhenti sampai si jabang bayi memutuskan untuk memunculkan dirinya di dunia. Tapi untuk muncul di dunia, butuh usaha dari dua pihak kan? Nah, bagaimana kalau ada salah satu yang tidak berfungsi dengan baik. Tentunya hanya tahu sendiri jawabannya.. 

Diselingi humor ala anak remaja sekarang seperti "maksud nganaaaa", film ini seakan memberi tahu realita manusia Indonesia masa kini. Semua hal diukur dengan status. Dulu sebelum menikah, pasti ditanya kapan nikah. Setelah menikah, ternyata pertanyaan kapan punya bayi akan muncul. Nah, giliran udah punya anak, rasanya pertanyaannya akan berganti jadi kapan punya adek lagi. Wahai orang lain, bisa ga sih ga nanya begitu? Tapi kalau pertanyaannya dari orang tua, mau apa? Menurut Ibu, seorang Ibu punya hak atas anak laki-laki sampai tutup usia. Itu lah kenapa tokoh kedua bernama sinta diceraikan oleh suaminya karena tidak bisa punya momongan. 

Pernikahan oh pernikahan.. Mungkin benar kata orang tua, saat pacaran itu tiang ayunan tapi saat menikah adalah tiang gantungan. Mungkin juga tidak.. 

Lantas, kenapa pertanyaan itu selalu muncul. Ada satu adegan menarik di film ini. Saat Tata dan dua temannya bertemu di cafe. Si single mengaku bahagia dengan kesendiriannya. Si Tata sedang pusing karena tidak punya anak. Sedang si teman satu lagi disibukkan dengan suami dan anak sehingga dia tidak punya waktu untuk mengembangkan karirnya di luar negeri. Si single menganggap itu adalah konsekuensi punya anak dan suami dan setengah mencibir. 

Sebagai single women living in Jakarta with a good career, i must say.. Kadang ada rasa sepi yang tidak bisa digantikan dengan gaji besar dan petualangan kerja yang membawaku ke seluruh Indonesia. Ada sesuatu yang kurang. Mungkinkah pasangan hidup? Mungkinkah ekspektasiku berubah? Bisa jadi, dan bisa juga tidak. Karena setelah melihat film ini, aku mempertanyakan pada diri sendiri, siapkah aku berbagi hidup dengan satu orang selama hidupku? Siapkah aku mengatakan, cukuplah engkau melengkapi hidupku.. 

4th Kristik Project (1)

Been doing this since high school and I love it! Give me to have a moment to myself and to know that all good things took time and effort. This is my forth project and I am exited to see the finish picture. Then I wonder in whose house's wall this picture will be hanged.. hehehehe...

Looking for hotel in Paris!

I spent practically the whole night searching for good hotel in Paris for my december trip. But I found almost little to none that close to my budget limitation and expectation. Of course, with limited budget, I barely cannot afford a hotel that cost me more than 75 dollars per night. But looking at price range is difficult in Paris. I mean, I get only 1 that really suits. But it is located far from downtown. Oooouugggghhh.. I wish I have lots of money so I can stay in whichever hotel that come across good in my search. But that's life I guess.. I have to do what I can with what I got.

So guys, if you have any recommendation for a nice but cheap hotel in Paris, really do let me know. I am close to desperate now..

p.s. I feel like looking for hotel is as difficult as searching for your partner in life.. how pathetic!
